Robert Emmitt

Success Story

Robert Emmitt is a 66-year-old retiree from Fort Collins, Colorado. He has been happily married to his wife for 45 years, and they have a large family consisting of three children and seven grandchildren. Robert leads an active retirement lifestyle, enjoying golfing, fishing, hunting, grilling, and traveling.

Unfortunately, one day as Robert ran down his stairs, he suffered bilateral quad tendon ruptures. These injuries are incredibly painful and make it challenging to straighten the knees and walk. After undergoing surgery to repair the tendon, Robert was advised to undergo acute rehabilitation at Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital (NCRH).

Throughout his stay at NCRH, Robert worked hard to regain mobility and return to his daily routines like dressing himself.

While at NCRH, Robert praised the staff, noting the kindness of the employees he met. “Everyone is friendly and always willing to help,” he says. “Therapy was excellent. The meals were fresh, creative, and tasty. I always enjoyed the delicious food!”

Robert recently returned home, where he says he was looking forward to spending time with his family and getting back to his golf game.
